Where are meetings held?

Meetings can be held at our office in Brighton, over the phone, or via video call, depending on your preference.

Do I have to pay for an initial meeting?

No, we offer an initial consultation at no cost to you. It’s an opportunity for us to see if we’re a good fit for each other and to discuss your financial goals and needs.

What do I need to bring to an initial meeting?

There’s no need to bring anything specific. But if you have any financial statements, pension details, or relevant documents you’d like to discuss, feel free to bring them along.

How long should I allow for an initial meeting?

Plan for an initial meeting to last about 90 minutes. This gives us ample time to get to know each other and address any questions or concerns you might have.

Do I have to sign up to your services at an initial meeting?

Absolutely not. The initial meeting is for you to learn about our services and see if we align with your needs. There’s no pressure to commit at this stage.

Are you independent?

Yes, we’re a fully independent financial planning firm. This means we aren’t tied to any specific product providers and can offer unbiased advice based on your individual circumstances.

Are you regulated?

Yes, we’re regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA No. 197107). This ensures we meet strict professional standards and operate ethically.

Can you advise on final salary or defined benefit pension transfers?

No, but we’d be very happy to refer you to a trusted professional contact who can help you with this instead.

What do you charge for a financial plan?

The cost of a financial plan can vary depending on the complexity of your financial situation and the services required. We offer transparent pricing and will discuss our fees with you upfront before proceeding with any work.

Do you get commission?

In general, we don’t receive commission for recommending financial solutions. This helps keep our advice unbiased and focused on what’s best for your situation. In the few instances where we might get commission, we’ll disclose this to you to ensure you’re happy before we go ahead.

Do you charge VAT?

Our services are generally exempt from VAT. But if this changes or there are circumstances where VAT applies, we’ll let you know in advance of carrying out any work on your behalf.
